40 – 42 dollars an hour depending on experience – Chicago Loop
Technical Musts
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
Excellent technical knowledge of QTP.
Knowledge of open source tools (including Selenium) is a plus.
3 years of experience in working with automated test tools, script writing, execution, and maintenance
Proficiency with defect tracking software, specifically Mingle and SharePoint is a plus
Knowledgeable of Quality Assurance and Quality Control concepts
Knowledge of financial data accounting and balance sheet/income statements is a plus
Understanding of Agile software development methodology
Must be able to manage time effectively
Must have has excellent oral and written communication skills
Must have strong problem solving skills
About the Position
The Automated Test Engineer will apply automated tools to support the
functional and data verification testing of a new financial database application
We will need you to valuate the functional business requirements for testability to
determine the test cases based on suitability for automation.
This person will need to implement the strategy via developing, coding, and executing test
case and test script frameworks using primarily Quick Test Pro while also
participating in the selection of additional test automation tools. We will need you to
maintain the database for defect management tracking of executed test results.
1) Create automated test cases based on business requirements
2) Develop, coordinate, and execute associated customized Automated Test scripts
3) Prepare summarized details of testing results showing pass/fail and explanatory data
4) Log and track defects using Mingle project management tool
5) Maintain ongoing library of test scripts for integrated regression purposes
