Automated Test Engineer Position

7 mos contract with possibility of going perm

Chicago Loop

Looking for person to start mid August

Technical Musts:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field

3-5 yrs. QA Engineer with automated test tools experience

Excellent technical knowledge of QTP. 

At least 3 years of experience in working with automated test tools, script writing, execution, and maintenance

Knowledgeable of Quality Assurance and Quality Control concepts

Understanding of Agile software development methodology

Must be able to manage time effectively

Must have has excellent oral and written communication skills

Must have strong problem solving skills

Knowledge of open source tools (including Selenium) is a plus.

Proficiency with defect tracking software, specifically Mingle and Sharepoint is a plus

Knowledge of financial data accounting and balance sheet/income statements is a plus

About the Position...

The Automated Test Engineer will apply automated tools to support the functional and data verification testing of a new financial database  application.

This person will evaluate the functional business requirements for testability to determine the test cases based on suitability for automation.

Implement the strategy via developing, coding, and executing test case and test script frameworks using automated tools. Utilize HP QuickTest Professional software and/or participate in selection of additional test automation tools. Maintain database for defect management tracking of executed test results.

Your function will be to create automated test cases based on business requirements. Develop, coordinate, and execute associated customized Automated Test scripts.  Prepare summarized details of testing results showing pass/fail and explanatory data. Log and track defects using Mingle project management tool. Maintain ongoing library of test scripts for integrated regression  purposes
